Drum Dyed Leather
Drum dyeing is the process of immersing leather in a rotating drum with dye and tumbling it so that the hide is completely and evenly covered. Every piece of leather has its own unique individual markings which adds character to the hide. Drum dying is a completely natural finishing process.
Absorption of dye may differ from area to area showing slight variations in color in the hide, just like wood shows the grain when stained. Generally, loose areas of the skin like that found around the neck typically accept more dye and may appear a bit darker.
