A little history...
Saddle bags have been an essential part of equine tack in some form since the first saddles were invented. Traditionally made out of leather, some equine saddle bags are now being made out of synthetic materials such as Cordura™ nylon or heavy canvas. Some of the nicest saddle bags currently available will have a soft lining on the backside such as fleece to prevent the bags from chaffing your horse. When choosing which saddle bag is right for your horse or mule keep in mind how much stuff you want to take with you and choose a set that will best meet your needs.

For the trail rider who prefers a more traditional look, Synergist Saddles' saddle bags come in either large or small sizes and will work beautifully with any Western or endurance saddle made by any manufacturer.

The large saddle bag measures 11" across with a 5" gusset and the small saddle bag measures 8.5" across with a 3" gusset. Available in all Synergist mix and match colors! Black, Brown, Mahogany, Saddle Tan, and Natural. Mix and match colors on the bag's flaps, strap, gullet or base for a custom saddle bag look!
